July Donations
Many thanks to Rebecca Hall, James Hammer and Jason Priest for their generous donations that have kept us rockin for the past couple of months. However we now need $75 by August 13th. Please keep in mind that I am able to keep bringing you all this great 80s music only because of the donations I receive from you the listener. I have spent a considerable sum to get the station going and I am no longer able to pay all of the expenses. If I am unable to raise the $75 needed to pay for this months licensing and streaming fees, then I will be forced to shut down the station. I've come up with a plan to fund the station for all of 2008 and I call it Club 15. I need just 15 listeners to commit to a 1 time gift of $60 for the whole year. That's just 5 dollars a month! If I can get just 15 of you who love this station as much as I do to send in your donations, I won't have to bug you again until 2009 and you will be able to continue enjoying the best 80s music commercial free all year long. I would prefer to get this all taken care of at once so that we don't have to worry about it again for another year, but of course if you can only commit to $5 a month, that would be very appreciated as well. That's not an 80's song
The problem with picking an arbitrary line in the sand and saying we're only going to play 80's songs is that back in the early 80's there were no such stations. Sure we played music produced in the 80's, but we also played the good stuff from the 70's as well. Lot's of "80's" only stations totally ignore a ton of great music that you grew up listening to.
